About The Barefoot Printer – Eagle Finegan
“Every picture has its shadows, and it has some source of light – blindness, blindness and sight” – joni mitchell
Eagle hails originally from Fairfax Station, Virginia, but has called many places home. Home is not where you live; it’s where they understand you – right?
From those places – through big cities, small towns, sandy beaches, quiet deserts, over blue lakes, and down country roads – come many stories that are told by her photographs, and along with those stories come plenty of evidence that there is no shortage of beauty on our big blue ball.
Eagle Finegan is, simply put, a photographer of nature. Nature, however, has a very broad definition, and Mother Nature is an amazing broad (as is The Barefoot Printer).
Nature is defined as:
* the material world and its phenomena,
* the world of living things and the outdoors
* Humankind’s natural state as distinguished from the state of grace.
* The natural or real aspect of a person, place, or thing.
‘Of art, I believe in magic’. Eagle’s art has a mysterious quality of enchantment – blending the everyday in with the profound, making us grateful to be a part of creation itself, leaving no question that there is a purpose.
Eagle currently resides in Waveland, Mississippi with her dog Maddie (aka: MyMads). In an RV. Now that’s a story . . . and that story starts with Katrina. As a matter of fact, you can see some of that story here.
